Makayla and Ethan got married on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in November. The weather was perfect and there wasn’t a cloud in sight. They chose to get married in a family friend’s field under an old oak tree at sunset in Eatonton Georgia surrounded by their family and friends.  The couple had been waiting for this day for a long time. Makayla and Ethan met through a mutual friend and it wasn’t long before they were head over heels for one another.

Ethan knew early on that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Makayla. He wanted to ask her to marry him in a special way that would mean a lot to her. On a trip to Colorado, they decided to hike up a ski lift trail. After two miles, overlooking a beautiful creek, Ethan asked Makayla to marry him, and of course, she said “YES!”

The couples love spending time together and one of their favorite activities to do is fishing. They both have big hearts when it comes to animals and jump at any opportunity to help an animal in need or to play with one (especially puppies). Makayla and Ethan also enjoy a constant stream of witty banter between the two. Some of the things that they were most excited about for their wedding day was exchanging vows and the reception. Makayla said that one of the best things about their relationship is that they are able to openly communicate with one another and that they are also able to laugh with one another.

I have known Makayla for a few years now. We worked together in college but have remained in contact over the year. When she asked me to be her wedding photographer, my heart bubbled with joy. I am so excited for these two and the life they will build together.
