Lake Oconee Wedding at Heartwood Acres in Eatonton, Georgia
Heartwood Acres Summer Lake Oconee Wedding
Middle School Sweethearts Grayce & Zach
A vow to each other.
A covenant between them and the Lord.
An oath to their friends and family.
Grayce & Zach have grown up together and promised to grow old together.
This couple met in middle school. 7 years later, they said a long awaited “I do” at Heartwood Acres in Eatonton, Georgia. A modern, luxe wedding venue on 15 acres that held all of their friends and family, as well as a 24 person bridal party. From siblings to childhood friends, this bridal party brought the energy with them. A late May picture perfect afternoon provided the couple with the most precious outdoor wedding.
Grayce & Zach are from Atlanta, Georgia, but both are finishing their degrees at Wheaton College in Illinois. This couple chose to wed in Eatonton, GA as Grayce has grown up at her family’s lake house at Lake Oconee. This same lake is where Zach proposed at sunset on the dock where they shared their first kiss.
Grayce & Zach shared their first look of the day as Grayce floated down the aisle. Zach wore his heart on his sleeve watching her. Pure love on display. One of their most cherished and anticipated moments of the day was getting to pray together with all their friends and family during the ceremony. Their faith alongside their love radiated throughout all of the celebrations.
“Mocktail hour” was a hit with signature mocktails by Georgia Routes consisting of cold brew coffees and slushies. Being a year short of 21 didn’t matter to this party crowd. As the reception began, Grayce’s parents were full of gratitude, thanking everyone who had been involved in their lives. They were also thankful they did not break these two up in middle school because the Lord obviously had other plans. Grayce & Zach swing danced the night away with their parents and each other for their first dance. Sentimental traditions filled the night, and the cake smash tradition was not left out of Grayce & Zach’s day. Both grabbed a piece and then shared a frosted kiss.
A sparkler send off created a dreamy exit for the couple to begin their road trip out West. Traveling across the country to different national parks while staying at different camps is the definition of Grayce & Zach.
The best is yet to come for the red head newly weds.✨
