Beautiful Beginnings Farm
Kristina & Buddy
5 1/2 years in the making–
January 16, 2016 became official
December 25, 2020 engaged
August 14, 2021 married
Kristina & Buddy’s first date was in Downtown Milledgeville after meeting a month earlier on Christmas break through a mutual friend.
Years later, Buddy proposed with a news-worthy proposal! Literally, their proposal was on Good Morning America. Buddy is a firefighter in Milledgeville, and he had to work Christmas day. Buddy told Kristina that he wanted to see her since it was Christmas. When she got to the station his battalion chief came out to the car to get her, and he said the other men were doing something with the trucks. The chief walked her out to the bay where Buddy was waiting for Kristina. From there, she recalls the rest as a little of a blur. This couple is so passionate about their community and being vessel for good in any way possible.
Kristina and Buddy were married in August at Beautiful Beginnings Farm in Newborn, Georgia (about 20 minutes from Madison, GA).
Although the rain came and the winds blew, that did not stop them from saying I do. Their first look had a small storm, but Kristina and Buddy were troopers and let the clear bubble umbrellas save the day. The sun shined through for Kristina’s beautiful bridal portraits prior to her wedding day. She also chose to have some fun green nails to showcase her personality through her bridal portraits. Her something blue was multiple “somethings” including her shoes, cake, ring box, and later her dancing shoes. With the rain on their wedding day and multiple “something blues,” Kristina and Buddy have a lucky and blessed lifetime of marriage to look forward to!
The reception was nothing short of a party, starting with the sweetest tearful toasts, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance. Of course, the cupid shuffle being the biggest family hit, even for the grandparents! During the reception, the venue, Beautiful Beginnings Farm, gets all their couples to do a “Love Lock” on their wedding day. The wall includes a physical lock with each name of all the past couples that tied the knot at the Beautiful Beginnings Farm.
A new favorite trend of mine is the private last dance. This trend is here to stay! Kristina and Buddy ended the night slow dancing to “The Rest of Our Life” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, while taking in the whole day by themselves. It is the first moment slowed down and soaked in as husband and wife. The day slows down for just a minute before the night ends. I definitely recommend!
Can’t use sparklers for your send-off? Want something different? These neon glow wands at send-off were a HIT and made for some electric photos!
Kristina and Buddy celebrated their honeymoon in Orlando at Disney World!
