The Retreat of Southern Bridle Farms
After postponing their big day and being together for over 4 years, Megan & Dylan’s wedding day at The Retreat of Southern Bridle Farms finally arrived. Check out their engagement blog here.
Megan & Dylan were introduced to each other through a college friend. They met for the first time at the square in McDonough in 2017. Their first date was a Braves game, and they have been going to Braves games ever since. From Atlanta United games to golfing and fishing to trying new things and places, Megan & Dylan love spending their time outdoors.
The Retreat of Southern Bridle Farms is located in Perry, Georgia. As one of Middle Georgia’s most historic plantation wedding venues, The Retreat of Southern Bridle Farms brings all the southern charm. There are overnight accommodations with historic preservation yet still have the luxuries of a modern resort. The fountains, gazebos, and historic homes are a joy to capture. As an all-inclusive venue, it makes it a really stress-free day for the bride and groom.
Megan & Dylan’s ceremony details represented who they are and what matters most to them. Honoring loved ones who have passed away, Megan created wreaths with pictures of family who were not able to be at the wedding. The frames were placed where they would have sat. As their guestbook, they had their family Bible for guests to highlight their favorite verse and sign their name. Near the guestbook, Megan & Dylan had photos of their families’ weddings on display. During the ceremony, Megan & Dylan tied a cord of three strands together. This represents their commitment to each other and the Lord. These are some of the sentimental details I commit to capturing for you.
Incorporating touches of their favorite things to do together, the groom’s cake was displayed on putting green near custom golf balls and tees. A white Bible given from her grandparents, as well as an old broach were a part of the wedding details of the day.
After a sparkler send off, the couple spent some time as newlyweds. After, they headed to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for their honeymoon!
