Stylish Fall Line Station Wedding | Courtney & Steven
Courtney and Steven’s Fall Line Station wedding was elegant, lively, and filled with personal touches. They chose a black-tie dress code, embraced soft yet refined colors, and planned a reception that kept guests on their feet all night. From their stunning Catholic church ceremony to their choreographed first dance, every detail reflected their style and story. Here’s a look at their beautiful day!
Courtney and Steven met during their first year of dental school at the University of Louisville. They quickly bonded over their shared passion for dentistry and their love of watching football, trying new restaurants, and traveling. Their biggest adventure yet came in March of 2023, when they took a trip to Italy with Steven’s parents. Or at least, that’s what Courtney thought.
In reality, Steven had been planning for months, secretly coordinating with her parents, right down to late-night calls with the hotel manager and photographers across the different time zones. On their first full day in Florence, he took her to a rooftop they had visited the year before, with the best view of the city, and asked her to marry him. With both of their parents there to celebrate, it was the perfect start to this next chapter together.
Before the ceremony, we took couples’ portraits and bridal party photos at the Woodruff House in Macon. With its stunning white facade and green shutters, it was the perfect backdrop. The Woodruff House perfectly complemented the wedding’s soft, refined color palette. It’s one of my favorite portrait locations in Macon. Courtney and Steven looked incredible against its classic architecture!
Courtney and Steven’s ceremony took place in a breathtaking Catholic church, still decorated with festive red poinsettias from Christmas. The ornate paintings and tall ceilings gave the space the feel of a European cathedral, and it made for an unforgettable setting for their vows. As Courtney walked down the aisle in her strapless beaded gown, carrying a bouquet of white and light pink roses, every eye was on her. Steven, looking sharp in a black tuxedo, watched with emotion as she approached. With family and friends surrounding them, they exchanged vows in a ceremony that was both sacred and grand.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to Fall Line Station, where the reception space was styled to match Courtney and Steven’s elegant vision. Lush arrangements of white and light pink roses mirrored Courtney’s bouquet. Plus, the green and light blue table linens added depth to the decor. The black-and-white checkered dance floor, set beneath a stunning floral installation, made a bold statement. At the center of it all was their modern four-tier wedding cake adorned with pink and white roses. It was an absolute showstopper!
One of the most unforgettable moments of the night was Courtney and Steven’s choreographed first dance with the Emerald Empire Band. They had been looking forward to it for months, and their guests couldn’t get enough. The energy on the dance floor never let up! The band kept the celebration going late into the night. As a fun surprise, the couple handed out light-up foam sticks, turning the dance floor into an all-out party.
To end the night on a high note, Courtney and Steven made their grand exit through a tunnel of sparklers before hopping onto their charming green-and-white trolley. It was the perfect send-off to a truly incredible day.
